  • Most categories: 15%
  • Electronics: 8%
  • Clothing: 17%
  • Jewelry: 20%

3. Monthly Storage Fee — Per cubic foot, charged monthly.

  • Jan–Sep: $0.78/cu ft
  • Oct–Dec (peak): $2.40/cu ft (plan inventory carefully!)

4. Long-Term Storage Fee — For inventory older than 365 days: $6.90/cu ft or $0.15/unit (whichever greater)

5. Returns Processing Fee — Charged when a customer returns a product for free return categories (typically clothing/shoes)

The Profitability Formula

Net Profit = Sale Price − Referral Fee − Fulfillment Fee − Storage − COGS − Advertising

Using niche.ltd's FBA Calculator

  1. Go to Profit Calculator
  2. Enter your sale price and product dimensions/weight
  3. niche.ltd auto-calculates all fees using current Amazon rate cards
  4. Add your COGS and advertising estimate
  5. See your break-even price and target margin

Pro Tip: Always calculate profitability at your expected sale price, not your launch price. Discounting kills margins.
